Production line mechanical installer

About the vacancy

We are looking for a specialist to take part in projects assembling and connecting production lines at automotive manufacturing facilities. Terms and pay are discussed individually.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanically assemble production lines according to drawings, diagrams and instructions.
  • Install and assemble KUKA industrial robots and robotic modules.
  • Install conveyors, frames, guards, grippers, manipulators and other process equipment.
  • Position equipment according to the design, align it and make adjustments.
  • Connect mechanical and pneumatic components and lay pneumatic lines.
  • Check assembly, fixings and component positions; participate in commissioning alongside electricians and automation specialists.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults and follow site safety rules.

Requirements

  • Experience in mechanical assembly, installation or maintenance of industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read assembly drawings, installation diagrams, specifications and technical instructions.
  • Understanding of mechanical assemblies and how production equipment operates.
  • Skills with hand, power and measuring tools; precise installation and adjustment.
  • Knowledge of fasteners and threaded connections; basic understanding of pneumatics.
  • Responsibility, accuracy and ability to work in an installation team.
  • Readiness to work at production sites and, when required, travel and work shifts.

An advantage

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or production line installation.
  • Experience with KUKA, ABB, FANUC or Yaskawa robots, conveyor systems, robotic cells and guards.
  • Experience using torque tools, laser levels, callipers and micrometers.
  • Basic electrical knowledge; qualifications for working at height, with lifting equipment or material-handling vehicles.
  • English or German sufficient to understand technical documentation.
