About the vacancy
The ELV supervisor coordinates all extra-low-voltage system installation on site, ensuring safe delivery on time, within budget and in accordance with the design, industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily ELV installation on site, conduct briefings and assign tasks.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers and other contractors; supervise subcontractors, technicians and installers.
- Check compliance with approved drawings and standards (IEC, DIN, ISO, BICSI, TIA/EIA or project-specific standards); carry out inspections, cable testing and signal checks.
- Health and safety: briefings, PPE checks, risk identification and support for HSE audits.
- Monitor daily progress against the schedule and production plan; report delays and risks and prepare recovery plans.
- Install and integrate structured cabling (copper and fibre), data networks, CCTV, access control, fire detection, public address systems and BMS interfaces.
- Manage materials; prepare daily reports, test results, inspection records and as-built documentation; support commissioning and handover.
- Liaise with the client, consultants, system suppliers and inspectors.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications or a related field.
- 5–8 years of ELV installation experience.
- Proven experience on construction projects, including commercial, data centre, infrastructure or MEP projects.
- Supervisory experience is mandatory.
- Experience with structured cabling (copper and fibre) and knowledge of ELV standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA, IEC).
- Ability to read drawings and diagrams; basic IT and networking knowledge is an advantage.
- Leadership, clear communication, attention to detail and a safety-first approach.
Working conditions
- Work mainly on a construction site.
- Extended shifts may be necessary to meet deadlines.
- Mobility and active on-site supervision are required.
Preferred certifications
- BICSI certification or equivalent.
- Manufacturer certifications for networking, CCTV or fire systems.
- Health and safety certifications, such as NEBOSH or OSHA, and first aid training.
