Site supervisor — electrical installation

About the vacancy

The supervisor coordinates all electrical installation work on site, ensuring safe delivery on time, within budget and in accordance with the design, industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily electrical installation work on site, conduct morning briefings and assign tasks.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers and other contractors; supervise subcontractors, electricians and technicians.
  • Check installation compliance with approved drawings and standards (IEC, DIN, VDE or project-specific standards); carry out inspections and tests and resolve defects.
  • Health and safety: briefings, PPE checks, risk identification and support for HSE audits.
  • Monitor daily progress against the schedule and production plan; report delays and risks and prepare recovery plans.
  • Provide technical guidance on cable routes, switchgear, panels, lighting, earthing and equipotential bonding, instrumentation and controls.
  • Manage materials; prepare daily reports, inspection records, test results and as-built documentation; support handover and commissioning.
  • Liaise with the client, consultants and site inspectors.

Requirements

  • A diploma or degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of electrical installation experience.
  • Proven experience on construction or infrastructure projects, including commercial, industrial, infrastructure or MEP projects.
  • Supervisory experience is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of local and international electrical standards; experience with LV/MV systems is an advantage.
  • Leadership, clear communication, attention to detail and a safety-first approach.

Working conditions

  • Work mainly on a construction site.
  • Extended shifts may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Physical presence, mobility and site walk-throughs are required.

Preferred certifications

  • Electrician certification, licence or equivalent.
  • Health and safety certifications, such as NEBOSH or OSHA.
  • First aid training.
